2008 is the National Year of Reading and here at Borders Teesside we are actively promoting this through exciting events for both adults and children alike. Just take a look at our events programme below and see if anything grabs your attention.
Come along and join our Book Club usually on or around the last Monday of each month to chat about the latest book to be chosen.
The book for our next meeting is Miss Garnet's Angel by Sally Vickers and we will be meeting on Monday 22nd September at 7:30pm.
Also we have our Children's Club to keep your little ones busy during the Summer Holidays we have a different activity each day of the week:
Monday - Teddy Bears Tea Party

All the activities start at 2pm.
Hal Lever author of I'm Not Drunk Honest will be in store on Friday 29th August to sign copies of his amazing story of recovery from an horrific accident that left him severely injured and a target for abuse. Come and meet Hal from 11am and get your copy of his life changing story personally signed.
Come along to our Children's Department this weekend where we will be celebrating all that is Fairy-like. We will have Fairy wand making, colouring, puzzles and storytime too. Why not come to our party dressed as your favourite fairy. All the fun starts at 2pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Today is the day we all celebrate the great author Roald Dahl. Come along to our Children's Department and help us celebrate with Revolting Rhymes writing, storytimes, colouring, and lots more Roald Dahl fun.

John will be signing copies of his book Shakespeare My Butt which takes him around Britain visiting the most bizarrely named places with the star of the book, his dog.
