RUTH "THE TRUTH" URQUHART: will be in store on Wednesday 24 September from 7pm-9:30pm where she will be talking about and helping you discover more about "Angels".  Ruth writes for Chat magazine is the country's only psychic agony aunt.  She is fantastic, fun and friendly and you can meet her.  Tickets are priced at just £5.00 and available from our tills or you can pay at the event on the night.

GAME: We welcome GAME to our store: they are located on the 1st floor in store and have all your latest PSP, Wii, etc games and consoles.

CHRISTOPHER BROOKMYRE: will be in store on Thurs 11 September at 6:30pm talking and signing his new book "Snowball in Hell" (publ 14 August).  Christopher is a Sunday Times bestselling author and is the only writer to have received two Sherlock awards.  This event will be free but ticketed, and tickets will be available in store.

TALES OF THE BEEDLE OF THE BARD: J K Rowling's fantastic "Tales of the Beedle of the Bard" comes to stores on Thursday 4 December.  Make sure you keep this date in your diary!

THIS WEEK'S FANTASTIC HALF PRICE OFFERS :  The Other Queen by Philippa gregory.  This fantastic novel follows the format of her amazing The Other Boleyn Girl, But this time looks at the life of Mary Queen of Scots.

STORY-TIME on Saturdays and Sundays: join us 11am for storytime....  start your weekend with a story in our children's department! Don't forget to pick up your copy of the Borders Kids News letter that keeps you up-to-date with the latest kids book news along with what's going on in store.

PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP: join us on Friday mornings at 11am for toddler story time.  Listen to a couple of toddler friendly stories before settling upstairs for a coffee and a chance to chat and make new friends.

ADULT BOOK GROUP: Join us on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 in Starbucks for our book group.   All are welcome to come along on the night.

TOYS AND GAMES: If you think we're all about books, then you're wrong we have some of the newest, best and classic toys and games in store.  these are all located in the queueing area of our store: look out for games from Scrabble to Trivial Pursuit, Rubik's Cubes to Travel Games,  from Pokemon to YuGiOh cards, and perfect gifts from Name a Star to the amazing Momiji dolls.
