BILL PATERSON: The much loved Scots actor was brought up in post-war Britain, when children could play happily in their own back garden... Now in his fantastic autobiography "Tales from the Back Green" he writes about growing up in Glasgow's east end. Meet him in store on Wednesday 27 August between 4pm and 5pm as he signs copies of his autobiography.
BEANO 70TH ANNIVERSARY: Join us on Saturday 2nd August to celebrate 70 years of Scotland's favourite comic The Beano. We'll be having Beano fun in store at 2pm in the afternoon, where we can draw our favourite Beano characters and join in some Beano quizzes... with special Beano prizes to be won!

CHRISTOPHER BROOKMYRE: will be in store on Thurs 11 September at 6:30pm talking and signing his new book "Snowball in Hell" (publ 14 August). Christopher is a Sunday Times bestselling author and is the only writer to have received two Sherlock awards. This event will be free but ticketed, and tickets will be available in store.

PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP: join us on Friday mornings at 11am for toddler story time. Listen to a couple of toddler friendly stories before settling upstairs for a coffee and a chance to chat and make new friends.
ADULT BOOK GROUP: Join us on the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 in Starbucks for our book group. Throughout July they are reading "Notes from an Exhibition" by Patrick Gale. All are welcome to come along on the night.
