We have a variety of regular events instore:

Book Group 6.30-8pm, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Tuesdays each month
Our books groups meet to discuss a work of fiction chosen by a group member the previous month. Did you love it or hate it? The groups meet in Starbucks for informal literary chat over coffee. Our groups are currently full, but please ask in store to be put on the waiting list.

Knitting Group 6.30-8pm, every Wednesday
Our totally popular knitting group meets in Starbucks for a heady mixture of wool and coffee. Suitable for beginners and experts alike, swap tips and see what everyone is making. Come and meet the gang and discover what Wednesday evenings are all about!

Toddler Storytime 10.30am & ALL NEW! 11.45am, every Wednesday
Come and meet other parents and babies for lots of fun! Singing, games and plenty of actions combine to make this a stimulating and exciting 1/2 an hour. Due to the massive popularity of this event, we would ask attendees to come to either the first or the second storytime of the morning.

ALL NEW! Kids Storytime 2pm every Saturday and Sunday
Every weekend day at 2pm join one of our staff for stories and activities, - every day it's different, so no matter if you like pirates or princesses, monsters or magic, there's something for you. 
Upcoming Storytimes:
11th/12th October: Princes & Princesses - Come along and hear stories about your favourite Princes and Princesses. Then make your own dazzling crown.  If you turn up to storytime, you can now get 15% off a kids book of your choice!

Kids Book Group 4.30pm, first Thursday of each month
Our kids book group is suitable for readers aged 10-14. Discuss the book chosen last month with one of our booksellers. November's book is 'Holes' by Louis Sachar. The group will meet next on Thursday 6th October ... so come along and give your opinion!

ALL NEW! Press Gang Every Wednesday 4.30pm
Our budding journalists are busy every week of the holidays writing reviews, interviewing authors and coming up with all sorts of fun stuff to put into 'Book Bugs', our monthly kids newsletter.

Cafe Science 07:00 pm, Mon 27th Oct 2008
Cafe Science meet in Starbucks on the last monday of each month (except December). Each meeting a guest speaker will talk on a topical science subject then open the floor for lively debate. If you're science minded don't miss it.

Not satisfied with 3 successful Book Groups we have a women only group, to discuss all manner of fiction. Please ask in store if you're interested.
