David E. Oprava: "VS"
07:00 pm, Fri 28th Nov 2008
David E. Oprava writes, because he has to. He is terrified of what will happen otherwise. It makes him prolific. He is an American-born Cardiff poet who has been trawling the city streets for over a decade. He has been in thirty journals online and in print and his first full-length book of poems, VS., was released in October by Erbacce Press, Liverpool. When he isn't writing he is battling against his raging sobriety and trying to live up to the high moral expectations of husbandhood, fatherhood, and humanhood. Not necessarily in that order and not necessarily succeeding. David is a terrific poet and will be in store from 7pm for all those who want to hear some first rate poetry in it's rawest form, and meet an extremely interesting writer. (www.davidoprava.com)
