At Borders Birstall we're fully committed to bringing you the best  free events programme in Yorkshire. We've just added over 35 brand new events between now and October and have many more to come. Whether you want author talks and signings, book groups, clubs, childrens activities or stories, you'll find it here. If there's something you want to do that we're currently not providing - just give Carole or Michael a call and we can make it happen. Kids News

Every Border's store has a trained team of children's specialists and we're no exception. We have Lisa, Carole and Emily on hand to help and advise whatever your requirements. Whether you want childrens books for education or pleasure, our team can find the right title for you.

We have recently reorganised and expanded our educational books and created a brand new Learning Zone where you'll find everything from books for pre-schoolers through to Teaching Reference manuals and everything in between. We also have a new range of exciting new educational toys 

Kids bored in the long school holidays? sick of doing the same old thing?

We have special themed weeks throughout the school holidays including animals, magic, sport and pirates. There are three story and craft sessions a week at 2pm in the children's department as well as daily activities at our craft table. All sessions and activities are free and materials are provided. No purchases are neccessary - just come along make new friends and join in the fun.
